When I was young, my father
always told me the story of my grandparents. He said that without their
hardworking and thrifty, we won’t have that comfortable life. We should
treasure what we have and don’t take it for granted.
Back to the centuries, my grandfather
grew in a poor family. They had no money for school, new clothes or shoes. They
are ragged, they had no shoes. Sometimes, they had to sleep in hunger because
they didn't have enough food to eat. However, my grandfather didn’t give up. He
is very positive and diligence. He learned to make glue pudding and sold it for
money. His business helped to get some incomes for the family and their life
became better. They brought new shoes, new clothes and books. He got a great
business and opened his own store several years later. One day, he met my
grandma and he fell in love with her. They got married and born my father. Then,
they took all their money and move to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, they sold
bargains in Tin Hau. To receive the stock and get a good spot, they had to wake
up at 5am. And they went home at 12:00pm every day. It's very exhausting.
However, through their struggles, they became richer. They can afford to buy a
house and a store. They opened a clothes store and got a great business.
It's a inspirational and touching story.
It motivates me to work harder and treasure everything I had. I hope that I be as success
as my grandfather.
